Baycliff Limestone

Burlington Stone’s popular limestone is quarried from Baycliff quarry, nestled on the outskirts of the historic market town of Ulverston. Formed in the Carboniferous period over 300 million years ago Baycliff is one of the hardest and most durable limestones available for use in construction. It is classified as a hard limestone and has a very low porosity and high flexural strength making it an extremely robust stone ideal for use in the landscape.

Baycliff Limestone is available for use as a walling stone, with accompanying lintols, cills, quoins and copes, and as a dimensional paving and sett, with complimentary steps, copings, rockery and bespoke landscaping features, all produced to bring your landscape to life.
